A glorious and romantic wedding in the woods. EXACTLY the kind of wedding we are up for and love to shoot. Not to mention, these two crazy kids are pretty much family to Jason and I.
We met Jennifer when she was in high school. I (Jess) have mentored her for years and she quickly became like a little sister to me; someone who just dove right into our crazy family and literally loved us unconditionally inside and out. Jason and I prayed for her, her future, her future spouse and everything in-between that you can think of throughout the course of knowing her.
So when she came to us to tell us that she found Josh, we just knew that this was IT for her. We walked alongside her while they dated, we got to know him (and LOVE him), we prayed for them, over them, and jumped with glee for them when they got engaged.
When they asked us to photograph the wedding, it wasn't even a second thought in our minds. Being able to capture and intimate day of two people we intimately know is just too sweet for words. They asked all three of our children to be in the wedding. (Flower girls were a top priority for Jen, and little Bravery fit the part with Marley oh too perfectly!) We helped plan, prepare AND joined in the festivities. And while it's particularly challenging to photograph a wedding while ALL your children are in it (it can be done, it's just a challenge!), we wouldn't have chosen to be anywhere else on June 18th, 2016.
We love these two. I could write about all the reasons we love them and why we are excited for their future. They are two special humans who have a rare and extraordinary relationship together. One that constantly points towards Christ, loving others well, and cherishing life's best moments.
Without further ado, (because I've already rambled a lot), here are Josh & Jennifer on their amazingly, stunning, woodsy, forest, cabin wedding day in the trees.
We love you both something fierce. And always will.
